Oakland Electronic Musician Saul Stokes releases his 13th solo album under the pen name Taiyō Rey. Crafted from custom made synthesizers, Shattering Stimuli blends multiple genres of electronic music into something fiercely new and refreshing.

Somewhere deep in this release are callbacks to early Nettwerk artists like Severed Heads or Chris and Cosey, and classic originators like Jean Michelle Jarre and Kraftwerk, but the similarities are minute as the music runs its own beautiful course of soundscape, rhythm, and touches of found sound. Bruce Gall from Future Beautiful Radio wrote, listening to "Shattering Stimuli" right now and it's so refreshing. I had no preconceived ideas on what I would hear but didn't expect this. Genre? No idea but I'm loving it….

Shattering Stimuli is a perfect personal soundtrack for those ready to journey out into whatever happens next.
